Who am I?

I’m Emma, a creative working across fashion communication, photography, creative direction, and visual storytelling. My work explores themes of identity, emotion and taboo topics. I enjoy working both behind and in front of the camera, using dual perspective to shape images to feel raw and real through visually-led concepts.  I love collaborating with others, working as part of a tight knit team helping me to create narratives that feel intentional and expressive.

I’m particularly drawn to projects that cross between fashion, media, and culture, ones that feel considered and personal. Travelling and working internationally is a goal I’m actively working toward, and I’m open to opportunities that allow me to grow, connect, and contribute to thoughtful, visual creative work.

Throughout my time at university, I gained experience in social media content creation through a number of voluntary roles both through the university and for my own personal platforms. I spent over a year as part of a team running the @ntufashioncommunication Instagram account, posting content to attract prospective students and keep current students updated. Alongside this I began building my personal platforms through gifted collaborations with brands like Monica Vinader, Elemis, Peppermayo and The Ordinary, creating content that aligned with the brands and my own visual style.

Over the three years at Nottingham Trent University, I worked as a Garment Fit Model for the final year Fashion Design and Knitwear students. While working in this role I gained a wider knowledge of the designing side of fashion. Through modelling in photoshoots over the years I began to develop my creative direction skills, learning what poses work and look good and how each concept and mood can be conveyed through this.
